Originally started in Belgium, Via Via now has branches in over eight countries including China and Peru; ViaVia Addis is the latest addition to the global family located in an adapted villa in its own compound, across from Habesha 2000 restaurant and next to Roomie Burger in Bole Tele.

ViaVia, the name of the restaurant, describes the network that is formed by getting to know each other by means of someone else. The restaurant is supported through the ViaVia family network worldwide, which includes providing training and maintaining global standards.

Although the ViaVia family of restaurants share similar standards each one has its own “soul” that makes one unique from the other. With a motive to serve quality food in Addis, Lieke a Dutch national together with her partner Shimeles an Ethiopian native run ViaVia Addis together.

The restaurant serves a variety of quality foods from a globally inspired menu. It aims to offer something for everyone and always includes a combination of beef, chicken, fish plus vegetarian dishes prepared by co-owner Lieke and chefs from Jamaica for the international dishes and Ethiopia for the local dishes. The daily menu is written on a chalkboard and offers a nice selection of different foods.

The restaurant has an outdoor patio area as well as indoor dining area and there is sufficient parking within the compound and on the main road.

Apart from food and drinks served throughout the day and wifi on site, the restaurant has a designated mezzanine floor for small group meetings

that can accommodate up to 10 people (with business facilities provided upon arrangement).  The room also has its own balcony.

ViaVia also hopes to introduce other activities such as movie nights in the restaurant.
